Unlike the original skill, this Trarthan version has has no interaction with Skeletons, does not chain, and does not sacrifice your life on every skill use, and gains no bonuses for spending your own life. Instead, it grants stacks of Ruin on use (which count towards the Ruin mechanic from Ultimatum), stacking up to 7 before sacrificing half of your life and dealing massive chaos damage based on the sacrificed life. It inherently deals less ailment damage. Visually, Dark Bargain of Trarthus has a stygian-themed blue colour instead of purple, and generates a sigil over the user's head tracking the number of Ruin stacks. If used by a proxy, it will appear over their location instead. It can be obtained by taking this item from a Cruel Mistress Mercenary with this item offered as a reward after winning a duel.
