Unlike the original skill, this transfigured version has a much higher base chaos damage on hit and added damage effectiveness, and the projectile pierces all enemies, but the damage over time debuff deals less damage and has a shorter duration. The regeneration buff restores a larger percentage of the debuff damage. The debuff is also not spread by Contagion.
A punchier hit and a piercing projectile, at the cost of a shorter, weaker damage-over-time tail.
