Hexblast of Contradiction is a spell that deals chaos damage to a single enemy. If the target has a hex curse on it, it deals area of effect damage around the target. On hit, the spell removes the hex curse with the shortest remaining duration from each target hit. Hexblast removes the hex after dealing damage, and thus benefits from the effects of the removed curse. Unlike the original skill, this transfigured version has a higher critical strike chance, higher bonus to hit and ailment damage against hexed targets, and is resisted by the highest resistance rather than the lowest. Because of this, reducing resistances through curses and exposure is not an effective strategy for hits. Instead, it is better to use mechanics that invert or ignore resistances.
Rewards having fewer curses on the enemy instead of more.
